Robert Plant Louisville Concert reviews
A true legend
Led Zeppelin has had a huge impact throughout my life. Before going to the show I said "even if it sucks, I will still be happy just being in the same room with a living legend." Well, the show rocked! He did a lot of Zep but toned it down. What really impressed me was that the guitar solo's were faded into the songs instead of brought to the forefront. They actually weren't even played as solo's. I took that as a sign of respect to Jimmy and his original riffs. The last thing I want to hear is someone else even remotely trying to clone the style of one of the best guitarists ever lived. No copy cat Page playing here. This is the reason I won't see Roger Waters live. There's no replacing Gilmour either. Anyway, all in all I had a fantastic time. Would I buy tickets again? HELL YEA I WOULD. Oh, I forgot to say that the one song that rocked solid was...of course...Ramble On. The house was rumbling at that time.
